Ty , carefull what you wish for ….. I just might make it there to give a Nats champ a run for his money. Yes the target is on your back being the champion and all !!

    Thx Doug, I do run the plet but on 10s 1p 5000 GP / 450/3 which moves the Mark&Pak nicely, but not crazy. I don't have a 372/3 for 8 S

    TK or Randy,

Can you drop me out of Open Hydro and put me in FE Spec Cat.

I noticed Jefferson is signed in FE Spec Cat so I want to make sure I am standing right next to him on the drivers stand! LOL

    Sorry for the trouble,

Any chance you can run both classes? If we drop you from Open Hydro it will kill the class.

Sorry, boat isn't ready. It needed more work than was originally anticipated.

Been trying to find someone to fill the class but it doesn't look good.

You guys wanna run in Open Cat? From what I've seen you would be very competitive there.

After the usual last minute shuffling we're sitting at 160 boats, a great turnout for this year's Can-Am.

If you are thinking about coming jump in, we guarantee a good time!

We can take your entry at rcracingevents.com or pond side up until 5pm on Friday...

Very proud of our Northern Lights MBC members, family and friends that worked tirelessly to run a first class event for our guests.

A special thank you to our scorekeepers Claire and Robin (who I forgot to mention at the trophy presentation). They worked non stop all weekend to keep track of the scores, create the heats for our shootout format, manage Can-Am & Oneida Cup scoring and post all the results as soon as each round was finished. We could not have run this format without them.

More to follow, I'm going to bed!

I would like to give a BIG THANKS to the Northern Lights MBC for all of your hard work. This includes Robin and Claire for their up to date score keeping and Roxy who did the work to provide us the opportunity for a great lunch. The club does an excellent job of running the race by making fair calls, they keep the day rolling, and this year provided a $10(CDN) lunch that was better than what most restaurants serve. The race site is nearly perfect for some incredible boat racing. It’s an excellent size, well protected from any kind of wind, and plenty of room for canopies. Most importantly are the people! This event attracts a really awesome group of people. Lots of smiles and laughs after another fun event! Thanks again NLMBC!

    Thanks
    Mike Ball

By all accounts the Can-Am for 2018 was a huge success, thanks mainly to all our guests that came from miles around to make our party one of the best there is. Again a huge thank you to all our club members, family and friends and who shared the work so everything ran smoothly.

Results are posted to rcRacingEvents: http://www.rcracingevents.com/cgi-bi...vent=canam2018

    Some photos: http://gallery.intlwaters.com/thumbn...um=1196&page=1

Look for a race recap in the upcoming IMPBA "Roostertail"!

Nice work fellas. Thank you for being such gracious hosts......again.

There are a lot of little things this group just does. Scheduling of manpower. Rotating the heat calling duties. Pretty fair calls I thought.
Patience where needed without letting that patience become a burden to other racers. Pit bosses keeping track of who belongs in the heat thats up. Little things that add up to a smoother experience. As an organizor of sorts myself I notice some of those little things. Logistics so to speak. These guys and gals have it.

Put this one on yer to-do list folks.

The 2018 Can-Am is in the books, again thank you to all who attended making this our biggest event to date! Here's some photos I had to share, again look for a write up in the December IMPBA Roostertail. We are planning for Aug. 24, 25th next year, mark your calendars!

Randy delivered a fitting tribute to our "silent engines" Kathy Menter, Jerry LaPorte, Andrew Lane and Tom Driver during the driver's meeting.

Andrew's sister (right), mother and wife Pauline attended:

Phil "Fear the Beaver" Thompkins tribute to Tom Driver:

    Nitro/FE Scale Concours:

Winner Todd Fleury with his beautiful "Peter's and May":

    Thunderboat Concours:

Winner Denis Desrosiers for the second year in a row with his "Miss La La":

Steve Ball had a tough weekend wrecking his 40 hydro but as always is a good sport. He receives the "Sportsmanship

award in memory of Andrew Lane":

Sergio Perez came all the way from Miami, FL and therefore must kiss "The Little Beaver" for furthest traveled.

Sergio is also the owner of "Hurricane Riggers" and donated a certificate for a "CP Mods Catamaran" hull plus many

    other goodies, thank you Sergio!

For a second year in a row team USA won the "Can-Am Cup" with a total score of 11,238 to team Canada's 9346:

For a fourth time since it's resurrection in 2010 our own Randy Rapedius won the "Oneida Cup" with a perfect score

(1600) in Crackerbox and 1450 in LSG Cat:
