Need another Spec Mono and Spec Cat, Howard had to bail...
Ughhhh.
Looks like the Q cats will run with or without me so take me out of Q and put me in spec cat.
I have a half dozen spec mono. Terry, you wanna run one?

Two weeks to go and 173 boats entered so far, shaping up to be a record turnout!
If you're sitting on the fence for this one come on in, the water's great!
Terry, when is yer cut off for entry?
I was going to drop Tyler into mono to make the class but that makes us 12 classes from one canopy. We can do it but it's less fun in truth. If spec mono doesn't make it doesn't make. No worries. Jut want to get my act together in time.

Cut off is 5pm Friday before the race.
Don't run yourself ragged, we want everyone to have fun!
I'll make sure the scale is all ready to run for Ty

Just got word the IMPBA has released a technical document concerning motors for FE 1/8th Scale.
As the Can-Am is an IMPBA sanctioned event we must adhere to the IMPBA Rule Book so this technical document must be followed at our race:

Nice job Mike. Keep up the good work.

So we are allowing those motors on the technical documentation?
I don't know anybody that has them at the moment. Not at this event at least.

Document seems to be missing at least a decades worth of data on proven motors plete, lehner, neu. Now I'm supposed to chuck Quality motors for the list stated.... don't think so.
News flash.... this is not an entry level class. Trying to save 150 -250 bucks on a 2k boat ?? Whaaaat ?
It's a list of motors added to the ones already approved:
"This is, of course, in addition to the currently approved motors that are listed in the IMBPA rulebook."
https://nebula.wsimg.com/496534c469b...&alloworigin=1
J-6 4e:
e. Only one brushed motor of any type or one brushless motor from the following types, Lehner
22xx series, Neu 15xx series and Plett 370. Any other brushless motor is subject to technical
approval.
Gonna miss you and Deb at the race this year, hope to see you in 2019!
edit: Mike beat me to it...

Well Randy I didn't want to say the real reason you don't run your cat in open class, you know when you got beat by a Q-cat, and lost your chance for the Oneda cup.... Bahaha !!
Thanks Terry, I mite come down and test the thickness of your skin !!
Mike ( McFly ) sorry I jumeded the gun, I was back to the future and don't want an other *!***!***!***!**s storm like the spec class.
Cheers, Jay.
Kevin and I were talking about that Plett Friday night. It will probably take a 472/3 on 8s.
