    Ughhhh.

Looks like the Q cats will run with or without me so take me out of Q and put me in spec cat.

I have a half dozen spec mono. Terry, you wanna run one?

    Good deal.

Thanks for the offer but as my 'ol Uncle Bill (McGraw) used to say: "I'll be busier than a one legged man at a butt kicking contest".

Plus I'd prolly let the magic smoke out ...

Two weeks to go and 173 boats entered so far, shaping up to be a record turnout!

If you're sitting on the fence for this one come on in, the water's great!

Terry, when is yer cut off for entry?

I was going to drop Tyler into mono to make the class but that makes us 12 classes from one canopy. We can do it but it's less fun in truth. If spec mono doesn't make it doesn't make. No worries. Jut want to get my act together in time.

Thanks Mike. If you have radio to run that on it would probably be good/better.

Just got word the IMPBA has released a technical document concerning motors for FE 1/8th Scale.

As the Can-Am is an IMPBA sanctioned event we must adhere to the IMPBA Rule Book so this technical document must be followed at our race:

So we are allowing those motors on the technical documentation?

Document seems to be missing at least a decades worth of data on proven motors plete, lehner, neu. Now I'm supposed to chuck Quality motors for the list stated.... don't think so.
News flash.... this is not an entry level class. Trying to save 150 -250 bucks on a 2k boat ?? Whaaaat ?

Easy there fella... Sentence #2 in the document reads

"This is, of course, in addition to the currently approved motors that are listed in the IMBPA rulebook."

It's a list of motors added to the ones already approved:

"This is, of course, in addition to the currently approved motors that are listed in the IMBPA rulebook."

    https://nebula.wsimg.com/496534c469b...&alloworigin=1

    J-6 4e:

    e. Only one brushed motor of any type or one brushless motor from the following types, Lehner
22xx series, Neu 15xx series and Plett 370. Any other brushless motor is subject to technical
    approval.

Gonna miss you and Deb at the race this year, hope to see you in 2019!

edit: Mike beat me to it...

Hi Jay, Missed you at the Cup/ Nats.
Put that Plett of yours in a Scale and run her on 8s. We need some feedback on what that brings to the party!

Kevin and I were talking about that Plett Friday night. It will probably take a 472/3 on 8s.
