Looking at getting one of these in c-aft material are these awesome?
I've got the MHZ 138 and it is "awesome", has an extra inlay. I have a few 100+mph crashes and most times it comes out fine but twice I have had damage, 1st time the hatch was dented in pretty badly and alot of the gelcoat came off but the hatch was not reinforced and I had forgotten to brace with foam inside, the foam if packed tightly works wonders in crashes and is a must if are pushing high numbers. Second incident part of the underside along outter edge came off, a strip about 6-8" long, it was a pretty easy fix and alot of sanding but came out fine.
Also, when you ask if these hulls are awesome, do you mean overall performance or quality? I can say MHZ are pretty magnificent hulls in both respects...just do the extra layup for insurance sake.
I too have the C-AFK, you should be fine without a layup but again, just extra insurance. Looking forward to seeing where you go with this.
TBH I have only run it outside, my GPS does function inside the hull which is great remembering my hatch does not have an extra layup. Thing is, even if your Rx antenna works inside the hull I wouldn't do it because it's such a high speed hull and will be outta sight in a hurry, you'll want all the range you can get! I'm running a top of the line Futaba system and even it has gone out of range a couple of times on top speed passes!
Yea, thats what i though . A hole must be made in the boat
I will be using my Futaba 3 PM-X with range booster i installed works awesome, and it is all internally mounted and powered
It goes further than i can see

Not relevant but did my Drone first and said why not boost my Futaba

You doing the build? Or gonna have the builder post updates?
Oh that's awesome, I wonder when they started doing that....... What is the build time?
I was originally going to get a white one and paint it and the guy there said there is a air brushed one here ready to go for a little extra, so being that it's a limited amount getting done like this, i said why not.
Shipped out the next day

Has anyone used a MPS switch to disable there rx ?
I just don't understand it's use realy
Hell ya!
Has anyone used a MPS switch to disable there rx ?
I just don't understand it's use realy
may i ask whats the extra electronics for ? extra reliability or extra troubles ??
yes thats new to me aswell, wonder why you would want to disable the receiver with another electronic unit when you can just unplug the power via the normal lipo plug . better to keep things simple for less worry of failures.
Exactly, it's a magnet which cuts the circuit very basic but i don't understand why you would use it.
The only time you would use a receiver on/off switch would be when you have set up a separate battery pack to power the receiver and servos. to do this you must unplug the Red wire from esc to rx then plug in your rx switch harness to the receiver and battery pack. this set up can be a safer way to make sure you always have power to your onboard radio if something goes bad in the esc / bec. LiFe 6.6 volt packs are great for this set up, also a J.R. gold plated teminal rx switch are very reliable.
The next question is what prop to use on a 44in Mystic 2x TP power 4070 1750kv 2x XLX's for (maximum) speed ?
2 blade or 3 blade pro's and con's.
Prop guys please chime in .

Might need to know SAW or Oval for prop selection.
These props will be for Saw, max speed only

Motors ready to go 1526198664047998484445.jpg
And steering servo, which is water proof too 1526198880417369162925.jpg
23kg Might be overkill but had it laying around.
