Default Need Advice on either Hydro & Marine or MHZ

    Hi all,

New person to site. Glad i found this site lots of info.. Great.

    Anway,

    I'm looking at H & M's La Gran Argentina

    Or MHZ, Fiat uno

Originally i Wanted a Cesa 1882 / Super Hawaii but no one produces a Hull.
So i'm looking to adapt One of the Hulls from above selection.

Question is which company is the better when it comes to Quality??
I know H & M used to be good but read on here mixed review's

    Thanks best regards
    adam

I have had both, and both are very good. I prefer H&M

Any chance either of you could go into further detail??

    What you like etc.

Would either of them suit actual offshore/sea use???

Are the bad reviews you heard about H&M actually about the boat or the North American distributer?
I have an H&M Drifter and love it very nicely made hull with nice crisp edges, hatch fits great, has survived a couple hard blow overs with no damage, but I would only buy direct from H&M in Germany even though I'm in N.A.
No idea about the hulls you're looking at but the Drifter is much better in a straight line than in the turns, it's a long and skinny hull.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

There was mixed reviews on here.

    Regarding supplier USA,
And possible new hulls from germany not being made in germany but elsewhere...
    Hydro La Gran is 60" x 11"

Both MHZ and H&M make excellent hulls. At least the hulls I've had have been. I'm not familiar with the hulls you're looking at though.

Hans Peter is producing a Mystic style mono that is really slick. I don't recall how you get one though.

Basically i would like a bigger grp version of Abc Hobby's Cesa 1882/Super Hawaii.

From the information i have looked at Both Mhz and H&M do this style of hull.

    Hanspeter, http://www.hpr-powerboats.com/products/hpr-010-mono/

Nice looking hulls and good quality also.

I have 4 H&M hulls and 2 MHZ hulls, they are all great hulls but your question was about quality and in my opinion MHZ build a more sturdy hull.....what are your goals with the hulls you mention as I am also not familiar with either of those hulls.....What is your budget and proposed power?

    Hi Douggie,

I'm actually undecided with regards power and use. Budget is ongoing as there is always something that can be done better.

I wanted to buy one and then use the hull only and re do the deck to suit Cesa 1882.
I originally looked at getting plans and scratch building but i have no word back from potential source on these.

    regards
    adam
