    Default ESC voltage input

I am interested in a Swordfish Pro 220 amp - 6s lipo ESC. Now as I would be running 6s would it be more advisable to look at the Swordfish Pro 200 amp - 8s lipo ESC, due its higher voltage rating.

Always good to run at 75% of the ESC’s ability.

I ran a sf pro 220 6s on 6s without issues with a nue 1521 on x450 In my DF pirate 35. I just added an external cap bank

I just burnt up a SF 220 pro plus on 6S with a TP 4070 1650kv and x447. What kind of protection do you get from the extra cap bank?

I dunno. I added the cap bank just to be safe. Ran fine without it. Not sure what happened with yours man.

Some of the SF esc's seem to be hit and miss. I have had two 220's, both had an issue with the power cutting on and off for about a lap, maybe that was just the radio or something. The exact same setup, just changed to a T-180 V2 and no problems whatsoever, did this on two separate boats both 6S. The first 220 did about a dozen runs and died-dodo dead. Not too much of a fan myself.
