Nice! The back end looked like that R2 Hobbies rigger, aka, TOBSD.

    Those are very nice!

Yes. I didn't like the fit and Finnish of the one Mike made it was also vary brittle. I'm going to make two one with half of mikes canopy on it and one flat. The flat one fits good with out hitting the motor but looks like a plan box. I'll use the flat one to race and the other one on the shelf at home.

Sounds like a good idea. I noticed it wasn't the greatest glasswork but I might be able to fix it up.

Motor mount is in. I used home make carbon plate to cover it. I’ll have everything done by this weekend.

    Cool, thanks.

Pretty good. I've got the sponsons almost done, just needs epoxy inside, flotation and top skin. I'm lining up the turn fin shortly to drill holes to mount it. I used a 1/4" thick piece of aluminum as a backer to drill and tap.

I laid out the tub on the build table. It will be interesting to tack the rear up after the main section since the back has a kick up. Any suggestions how you built that up would be appreciated. Won't get back to the tub until Friday earliest.

Can you do me a favor? Can you measure the distance from the outside edge of the strut mount to the outside edge of the rudder mount? I want to possibly machine my own one piece mount.

No Ray I don't have any suggestions sorry. I just made sure my transom was 90 to the what I built off of. I was puzzled with a solution my self.

Yes I can do that for this evening no problem. Only thing is I offset my strut to the right the thickness of the strut blade. Is that still going to give you the measurements your looking for?

Here is the video form Sunday. I have messed up on the turn fin angle and was plowing this boat the whole day. In the video I have a grim racer 40x57 and was doing only 64mph. Should of did 70mph no problem with the prop I used at 2700kv. Next week is are first race of the season. I think today I got the fin adjusted right so I'll go ahead and enter it and see if I can get a good video this time. This boat has way more left in it hopefully the next video will be the proof.

How do you mount the Sponsons to the booms?

I'd like to make them adjustable for toe in.
