    Default Battery discharge rating

I am looking at a situation in a 32" mono with a TP Power 4050 1330kv running 3s2p (6s) 2 off 5000 mah 3s packs in series. I have a choice of either 40C continuous or 60C continuous discharge. Ideally, the 60C would be preferable, however, would the 40C be sufficient, please?

It depends, what amp draw are you aiming for? That setup could pull over 200 amps continuous, or 100 depending on the load/boat type/prop. There is no industry standard for measuring the “C” rating, it is up to the manufacturer to determine. Meaning that many just lie about it and list bogus inflated values. If I was buying cheap packs I’d get the highest rating offered, knowing it could actually be much less, or not. High quality packs are more likely to perform better. If you are racing, get the 60C packs.
