    Default Another question. Hull material.

Probably just another dumb question but you don't know until you ask. Which is generally the lightest a wood or a glass hull. In full size boats wood is often lighter until they've been in the water a while. After they've had a chance to soak up some water the advantage generally goes the fiberglass.

This all depends on how the boat was constructed. was too heavy of fibreglass and too much resin and gelcoat used along with was heavy wood and too much glue and sealer / paint used in construction. can be a hard question to answer as 2 x hulls made from different materials such as wood and fibreglass can end up the same in weights or one will be heavier than the other.
