    Default March 2019 Update

It is funny when you think something is close then eight months later still working on it... ;-)

Work is almost done... Chip did some crazy work on the driver detail... radio and ESC box is all laid out... and just waiting on trip tabs to come back in stock at OSE!

    Some photos here...

    Wow!!! Gorgeous boat!!!

Question: how are you planning on making the hatch water tight? How does it “lock down” in the rear (I see the tabs up front, but curious how it stays locked down)?

Pennstater - thanks for the kind words...

There is rear locking pin we mounted between the pipes... photo below... and in regards to waterpoof... will do some testing but with the weight and scale speeds (50-60 mph target) I am not too concerned about a blow over... but the way the hatch fits and and the flotation, will do my best...

Pennstater - Also the plan on flotation is the huge middle electronic box is going to be watertight - or VERY close to it... so that will be flotation as well...

    Default Getting There

So boat is back after paint... got to love the packing job on this one!

Got everything pretty much put together... doing some ESC final work now and CG (thinking 30% or 35% and go from there?)

And trying to finalize first prop choice for testing

And thanks to everyone for all the help along the way!

Congrats for the nice project. This cat was my very first nitro cat I built in 1985 equipped with a Picco 90. Looking forward to see it wet.
