How does this look? Anything else that requires drilling through the hull that I forgot?

I need to hold the hatch on. What is good. Is there anything that would mount flush and still hold well?

Just the old taper head screws and blind nuts. I think Keith Bradley Boats still sells a ‘hatch kit’ or forthat matter I think Travis(KFXguy) has the makings to put one together for you.reach out to him thru PM on this forum.

I would be looking at a longer stand off bracket rudder, that rudder will put the prop quite a bit behind the rudder with that stinger.

Would a shorter stinger be better or the longer standoff rudder?

I would go with a longer stand off rudder, That stinger length is about right.

On my Blackjack 29 the rudder is about .5 inch behind the propeller is that about right?

You can have the rudder opposite the prop or with the rudder past the prop, you don't really want the prop way past the rudder.

thanks again. This is definitely going to be a learning experience for me. I haven't been this excited about an RC project in ages.

You may need a set of turn fins too. And maybe a set of trim tabs. I use them on my boats, but some people don't use them.
