Have you guys played around with the cog? If so where is best? I'm currently messing around with everything trying to get that sweet spot. So far 62mph on 4s

what motor are you running with the 4s set up Jim ? also what type of prop ? I have my 4s pack approx 4 inches in from the transom and the hull seems to ride quite nice. c.o.g. is set around the 60/40 or balanced at the trailing edge of stock turn fin.

Did you add weight to the front? I am putting lipo as far forward as I can and cog is near 2in. behind the turn fin. I am running 1515 1y prop is 1450mod prop b/s. I need to work on my H-7 and try it.

woops, sorry Jim the cog is just about the same as you have . i was thinking of my jae 21/fe balance point not the jae-33.
i know these jae,s due to the ski like to be abit tail heavy and don,t like a lifting prop. how does your ride ?

Yea once I get everything set right I will probably use regular self locking nuts. Just helps right now to make adjustments faster

The TP motor that originally had in there was squealing so I had to order some new bearings hopefully that will fix it

Jim, where you have your turn fin set now [ in pic ] is that about the position of the rear where its going to be left at , or are you still going to try different angles ? the setting now looks like your trying to keep the sponsons wetter , has your hull been riding abit loose in the front ?

I found with my 4s set up the fin needed to be raised approx 1/8 th inch at the trailing edge to stop speed flutter letting the sponsons ride a little wetter for choppy race conditions but for any calm water non race the fin was set with the top parallel to the top of sponson as in your last pic. overall c.o.g. balance seems to be quite good as the hull sits up nicely and handles very good at speed.

I have a T.P. 3650 - 2350 kv motor i would like to try in my JAE-33. currently running a HET 650-2200 motor and it is going very well or should i say was going very well until the modded h7 prop dropped off thanks to a dull prop nut.

no i can,t rely on using locktite as it doesn,t set off quick enough when your changing over props. i will now use a new nut for every secound prop change as the nuts are dirt cheap to buy.

Got a chance to run again today using a 2015. I'm up to 68.7mph and pretty sure she still has more in her with that same prop

Jim, are you still running 4s power ? if so not sure if its the best idea to run lifting props on the jae unless the ski is removed , an octura x648 should get you over 70 mph in saw trim so i have been told. can,t complain about almost 69 mph though.

Still running 4s yes with the Tp3650 2060kv. That's not a lifting prop but I have used both and results the same. Now when using a ski you can turn a bigger prop easier

Starting to get up some good speeds now Jim even with that size motor is good. I would like to try my 3650 - 2350 kv motor in the jae33 to see how she goes but at the moment i have a Het 750-2250 kv motor on 4s going very well, even stays with the Neu powered jae,s in club.
