3 1/2 inches wide x 2 inches high. this height measurement is without the battery tray fitted, just velcro to floor is fine or velcro to sides if using 2 x 3 s packs.

I would try and get a larger MAH pack than 4000 . zippy compact 5800 is about the same size or HRB 6000 .

jim, if your going to run 6s you might need to not fit the battery tray as height can be limited . just check before you glue up.

I kinda answered my own question if I do use them my lipo is not going to fit. Just worried a little about tub strength without them.

You can fit the 3 x cross rails but cut the center area down so the floor piece sits down almost to the tub floor, this way you have the extra strength and the side cut outs will be filled in. like you jig and clamps set up.

I am going to add square strips to sides and maybe some wood filler to fill the holes on the outside.IMG_20180312_172304980.jpg

Heres how I did mine. Used a straight edge razor and cut the original back top piece. Then added long triangular wood pieces to raise deck. Glassed it from inside. That is a zippy compact 5000 60c in it. Made sides on the bottom and put velcro on battery and sides. Lid taped on holds battery fine. Boat runs so nice.

i noticed the zippy compact 5800 4s is higher than the hrb 6000 / 4s. so the zippy needs a higher lid where as the hrb doesn,t. I like your jae chevelledude.

Iam running a TP 3650/4y and thats a 6s in the boat. Because the gear seems to work so well together I just bring it in after about 10 or 12 good laps. It just a little warm to the touch. I dont do gps runs with it but years ago I had a crapshooter that a nice police officer radar gunned for me at 75 then told me I have to leave. Its at least that fast. I Thank Fluid for the setup in the 2 post. Good call

Nah only took a couple pics I should have did a small build thread. Only thing I did different I didn't use any of the battery tray stuff and added trim around the edges on the deck of battery area.

the 3650 - 2060 should be great on 6s for some saw. I think it was Fluid who mentioned a 3650 powered rigger has done 140 mph. i have a t.p. 3650 - 2350 kv motor to run on 4s some day.
