What's everyone running in Q mono?
We're playing with some monos that may have to carry 4p to make the trip around our offshore course at a good clip.
Is 1527 1Y the best choice? What say you?
Will a TP do it?
Thanks

The TP 4070 with a KV around 1250 is another excellent choice for Q mono. I doubt it will make an offshore course with 10Ah without hurting the cells. 12Ah might be enough.
I know I use 8500mAh in a 10S2P cat in offshore if I don't cut any buoys on a medium length course.

Hey Tyler. She is a big one.
Larry I'm going to play a bit with a boat on the course this weekend and do some math. Mill & six more than likely. Our CDs don't really care for the 4 min gig.
We may have to drop that right buoy but it would be an absolute blast to run the whole course. It's fun with the P Limiteds!
Don ran one of his new 40" Orcas in SOWEGA with a 4070 (1440kv?) and a M cut545 on a 1/8 approx. mile course (with one OS buoy closer than the center one in Atl.) on 6s3p. Motor temp was 130', Castle 200HV 126', and the 5000s were at 26% and just over 100' after a heat. The boat was fast, a bit faster than the majority of the LSG 23-30 monos.
I don't know that we'll enter them in open offshore very often if at all. He entered one this weekend because we were chomping at the bit to see what the hull was capable of. We're going to try to get Q mono and Offshore going in our Grand Prix Series. If we can make it work in Atl. it will work anywhere in the District.

that's a cool offshore course..at last years fe nats I ran my q in offshore..df mk2 45, with leopard 5692 and 10000 mah which is limit..and a x450 prop..it was fast and ran cool...though after 4 minutes plus mill I was coming in with about 4 to6 percent left in batteries
Wow that final offshore buoy makes a super tight and hairy return almost head on with the outbound traffic; have there been any collisions?
"Look good doin' it"
See the fleet
It would if that was how they run it. Its not. The don't turn left at pin 4. The left is 85ft before you get to pin 4.
Noisy person
HET 4098's aren't bad either.
