    Default Limited sport hydroplane

I have herd of this class of brushed fast electric hydroplanes a while back but are there any specific rules or guidelines? I could not find anything on the NAMBA or IMPBA sites regarding this class unless it is called something else now or just doesn't exist anymore because of brushless electric motors. Could some one point me in the right direction?

    Cool

The class no longer exists, the motors and cells used are not available. Plus, no one wants to run slow boats anymore. IMO the P Limited Sport Hydro class is better in every way.

Here are the last rules for LSH:

    Limited Sport Hydro “LSH”

General 1. This is a non-records class and falls into the P voltage rating with all cells wired in series, no paralleling of packs or cells.

Boat and Hull Specifications Will follow the same rules as Sport Hydro with the following exception. 1. Hull will not be less then 23-inches in length.

Motor Specifications 1. Only one motor maybe used that is commonly referred to as a 700 series with the following specifications. a. The motor will have fixed brushes and endbell. b. The motor shall have a can diameter of 42.2 mm (1.661 inches), excluding option torque ring with a length of 66 to 67 mm (2.598 to 2.638 inches). c. No modifications may be made to the motor. Motor must be used as shipped from the manufacturer. d. The following motors are known to comply; Graupner 6306, Graupner 6316, Fine Design FD-EM 775, 700SC, Robbe power 700 9.6, MPI ACC373 Promax 700, Hopf Viper 700 QC 9.6 Volt Neodym-Race 66mm, Hopf Viper 700 QC 12 Volt Neodym-Race 66mm, Hopf Viper 700 XLG 9.6 Volt 66mm. e. The following motors are known to be illegal; Hopf Viper 700 QC 9.6 Volt RS-Neodym 60mm and Hopf Viper 700 QC 12 Volt Neodym 60mm.

Race Format 1. Any IMPBA oval course may be used. In the absence of a legal course, any oval format may be used. 2. Each heat will consist of a minimum of 1 mile

Go with the "P Limited Sport Hydro class" (NAMBA)
    "M Spec Sport Hydro" (IMPBA)
It is a lot more fun.

I know the vernacular has changed but I'm stuck calling it LSH myself. Much easier to type and say imo...lol..

See you Saturday at Wellesley Butter fest if you go. I've got a couple boats ready and charging packs today. Bring the ESC for me will you, please, thanks.

What time should Wendy and I get there?

That's insane but that's normal. See if you can save me a spot but I understand only so much possible. We will try as bashed up as we both are, lol...
