    Default GP 400 rudder offset and setback

    Well, apparently the parts I have are not conducive to one another. I believe the rudder setback ad prop arc are not supposed to be aligned. Is tis te correct assumption? The only way to rectify is to put the strut in the boat a-la Atlas. It's coming along...

    Cool

    Plenty of hydros run the prop and rudder opposite one other - one advantage is the prop wash hits the rudder and helps to counteract prop walk. If you feel you just have to put the rudder behind the prop arc, then all you need is a longer spacer for the rudder. They are available with up to 4" of set back IIRC.

    I use the same one you got on all my sport hydros over 4s. Works good for me.
