If one refers the spec sheets for both motors using Leopard Hobby as an example
3650 50 amp 26 volt 2290kv 1300 watts
46 amp 28 volt 2090kv 1300 watts
3674 90 amp 27 volt 2200kv 2400 watts
On paper they would appear to be very different motors. In practice....?
Easy math 1300 watts vs. 2400 watts near twice the power.

thanks. so that goes to show even though the can diameters are both the same as to the kv,s , it must be the longer can length that gives more power. there was mention some time ago that all the extra can length does it supply abit more motor torque.
how would a 3650 - 2350 kv be against a 3674 - 2200 kv motor both running on 4s ? in a light rigger. i am looking at these other options now as i was going to buy a 1515 - 2200 kv castle motor but i can,t buy the cooling jacket as there out of stock so looks like a smooth can now.
The 3674 will also have an easier time spinning more aggressive props due to the increased torque. It's not to say that 3650 motors can't be used in riggers, but you will be limited on size of the rigger, prop selection etc.

Thanks Paul, by the looks it does appear that i will be spending the rest of my life trying to get these hulls ready. its all such a big change for me going from glow to electric and as you know i do know bugger all about electrics. HELP. HEY Paul have you tried a t.p. 3650 - 2350 kv motor in a rigger on 4s ?
No.
The Keps 21 rigger only has a TP 3640 2430kv motor in it. The ML Boatworks hull has a 4050 2390kv motor.

In practice one can provide 1300 watts of power, the other 2400 watts of power. That means you could produce up to twice the thrust. The actual magnets are almost twice as long in the 3674, since there's at least 10mm of dead space on each end of the can.
If you use the correct prop for either motor, the higher wattage motor will go faster.
