Don't want to jinx it but the long range forecast is looking good for this weekend!
Tyler has been watching the weather for weeks like it could be predicted that far out. haha

This event is my favorite event all year.
I did not get any records but Terry Davis, Mike Ball and Keith Kirchen all killed 3 FE Classes both saw and oval.
Hope to be back for the spring trials. I'll try to make sure the club race doesn't fall on the sunday of the trials.
Well TY,
I'm sure the paper work has been filled out already. So are you ever gonna tell us what records got broken?
I have received a text from Terry with a"modest" acknowledgment that he had broken my Q oval record. I recon by calling me an "old man" he considers himself young??? Just curious what other records fell.
Q mono 24.95 ( I think)
P sport 22.7
Keith went 128 and some change with his big cat. That was nuts.

The 1/3 rs oval records that got broken were...
Mike Ball-
P Sport
Terry Davis
Q Mono
And Finally-
The S Cat 1/16th straight away record was set by Keith Kirchen.
We had great conditions for a change!
National Nitro Director Mike Betke upped his own 17 year old SP40 oval record to 20.988 sec using the same boat!
MMU Commodore Terry Davis set the Q Mono Oval at 24.995 sec, impressive!
Kevin Kosciolek broke Mike Ball's P Sport Hydro Oval at 22.951 sec. but Mike took it back in the end at 22.670. Several others were gunning for Mike's time and came close.
And Keith Kirchen ran his big S Cat to a couple of the prettiest passes we've seen in years, both within one thousandth of a sec. of each other to net a new S Catamaran record of 1.754 sec. or 128.278 mph. Those were also the fastest passes ever made at Thread Lake, Congrats Keith!
All the above are still "unofficial" of course pending approval by our IMPBA Records Director Doug Smock.
Gotta clean up the boat, do a little maintenance and get back to T.O. but I'll put up some pix and vid later tonight or tomorrow.
Congratulations fellas!
