    Default Whiplash 20 FE, refinishing

    Hey all,
my last posts here were back in 2011-12, got myself married and had a kiddo... anyhow am now breaking all my gear back out and getting ready for the 2018 race season over here in Scottsdale AZ.

    First project.

    Whiplash20 LSH spec

found- in a slightly bad state, with hatch missing and some minor race damage from 2011 season

decided since hatch was missing (and I absolutely hate the look of the rear section of the stock whip) i will fab a new streamlined rear section

    pictures on the way.

The hatch is made from a piece of 3/16" plywood from hobbylobby, and some foam pieces from there too, dremeled to shape then glassed over top & bottom.

The next thing were gonna do is make this thing actually tape-able.

Went to the local ppg store and picked up about 80-90 bucks worth of premium auto grade paints and clear coat03EC4B86-B0E8-4055-A255-2EDABC727B7E.jpg0888FFF9-C02F-46D7-9A43-803B4FC16A43.jpgB722743F-9DBF-44B3-BE53-0E7DF7169AEE.jpg

Also threw in some ultra violet pearls in the clear coat first coat, then several more layers of clean clear coat
