WOW ! So if your not on Face Book, aka "drama book " you don't get the results ?
For a hobby screaming for new people to come to these big events you guys, gals sure make it tough to get involved .
I would think there would be two or three people who's job it would be to get the information out to anyone and everyone .
Not everyone can afford these events, but they may inspire someone to get involved and race at a local level ?
That's if they see the press.

TC-Guys in this hobby are free to post/discuss anywhere they desire. Intlwaters, Jims Boatdock (which is getting quite a bit of play because most of the Nat's racers were gas), FB, wherever. There's no formal results on FB, per se, just banter. Oh, and don't worry, any internet forum can have drama. In fact, that may be why some guys are using FB now. Seems to be a smaller, intimate group dedicated to racing. That's me just speculating, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it, IMO.

The official results will be posted on NAMBA's site and I'll post that link once done.

With that said, it was my desire to get some sort of update on OSE. The CD Richard Romero was using OSE to communicate to FE racers about the event, so I wanted to get something posted once it concluded. Not only is OSE the premier FE site, Steve has been there for all of us for years now with terrific product and a great forum. I want him and the forum to thrive. I feel it reaches more people, too.

OMG-- This race was awesome. Was luckily enough to win a few classes in FE and didn't blow anything up. I think some of the best racing was in FE. I raced all three disciplines and raced almost every day. FE is looking strong right now. We in D-20 will probably field our largest group next year with all the builds I hear are going to happen.

The best times I had were after race events. Was lucky enough to spend an evening having dinner with Newland, Jim Osborne and a few others. I laughed so hard that tears were running down my face. The Welcome Party and Paddle Boat races were equally as fun.

I have a new P-Limited OPC on the bench slated for an off season build. Aptly named "The Dave Destroyer". Might just see it at the Winter Warmups slated for next February.

Have heard in the past that the Michigan cup is just as fun. May have to get my IMPBA on.

Dave I'm not worried about at all.
But you hit the nail on the head when you said the "biggest FE site in the country " and no one post the national race results.
I won't comment any further, just seems odd.

2018 would be the year to do it Robert. We gots some plans we're cooking up. Have full time CD lined up. Can NOT wait. Wish I could get commercial fireworks again. That was next level but so pricey. Pretty sure I owe Robert at least one adult beverage too.

Far be it for me me to defend NAMBA but the reality is that nobody has a NAMBA "job". It's all volunteers. It's a love affair. Borders on obsession. Those that make racing happen do it to see other people enjoying the hobby as much as they do. My wife calls it a sickness. It's the same for IMPBA. Model boaters. Salt of the earth. 99% of them at least.

Try to be patient. They'll heal up and get some complete results posted as soon as they can find their butts.

    "Dave Newland Quote"
[QUOTE= One amazing visual was seeing Haines back 100% with his trailer/gear .[/QUOTE]

Congratulations Dave on another NAMBA FE High Points Championship.
You really put the hammer down and left all of us in the dust. That
truly amazing considering you departure from racing for a couple of years.
We had some fun dinners together really enjoyed the company.
I also nee to thank you publicly for the help you gave Fede and me with
the boat theft and subsequent claim.
Also as I mentioned before you left the event.....this hobby really needs
you and it is great to have you back competing again....hope you are here to stay :)

Congrats to Lenny Blake for the overall 2017 NAMBA High Points Championship.
Lenny is a great spotter too....he was a huge help in that final P-Ltd Rigger heat, Thx

Congrats to Chuck Murray for his first NAMBA Nats 1st Place
also congrats to Bob Zola, Chris Emard, Jim Osborne, Robert Holland, Wayde Bloedornn & Mr Love
on some really great racing and podium finishes.

Guys this was a great event, the water was rough at times, but the racing and the
fact that there was so much to do in Vegas my family loved the trip. Richard Romero
did a great job organizing and Race directing, Russ did a nice job too. I really want to urge
NAMBA to make Open classes official classes. It certainly seems to me if they want mixed
fuel nationals that there should be some mixed classes. Not a better way to do that than to
have some open classes like Open; Mono, Hydro, & Offshore.

Dave and Darin, is that something you could write and sponsor for the next rule vote ?

Hopefully Fede and I can race even more next year !!

I was there and also had a great time. It was great to be able to race against some of the best of the best in both gas and electric and I would personally love to do it again. As stated by Dave my club will be hosting the 2018 nationals. Please give us some time to discuss what we're planning on offering. This was the 1st of it's kind and my opinion the one's involved in putting it on did a hell of a job. I didn't get to meet all the FE guys, but was able to meet Mark, Ken, Chuck, Ray and a few others.

This was copy from nats facebook page, hopefully I don't get in trouble for this. Note, it's subject to change until posted on NAMBA officially.

Had a really good time at this event. Thanks to all the NAMBA 19 people for all of your hard work! The race site is great, but the water does get choppy, as Ken stated! It was great meeting some new friends and customers out there. I enjoyed the mixed power format. The Monday night welcome party was a real good time! The gas powered Margaritas hit the spot after a long day!
I have a bunch of photos, but something is keeping me from posting to this forum. I have a day by day update for the electric classes, with podium photos (Thanks Al Waters!) on the Mojo Racing Products / Giant Power Face Book Page.
    https://www.facebook.com/Mojoracingproducts/
There is also a photo album with a bunch of site and people photos there as well. Travel racing is challenging, but I am glad I did it!

Jay got some great shots for the first few days, then developed equipment trouble. Anyway, here's a great shot of Ken and Chris in LSH.
