What timing should I set?
What timing should I set?
For "D" wind motors = 0 or 1 Degrees Timing, anything more just causes heat.
They are not like a "Y" wind .

Is there any reason to do 1 over 0? Is there a difference in performance?

I can only select 0 or 3.75 on my esc. What would you suggest?
Set it to zero it it seems to be running Smooth
The timing of a BL motor cannot be a single value, the motor wouldn't work nearly as well if the timing was static like an old skool brushed motor. With decent quality ESCs it doesn't matter if you choose "0" or "5" degrees, the ESC decides what is the best timing based on feedback from the motor as the load changes. The timing you input only defines a timing range from which the motor chooses the right timing. You may set "4" but the ESC may actually use "8" simply because that is what the motor really needs at a particular moment. You are fooling yourself if you think there is any real difference between settings "0" and "1"...
