Just be up to driving skill then Randy. Your experience should get you back up front.
haha Looks like how I do it. Random crap from all over the shop for weight. Sometimes I'll have old cans of paint perched up there.

Whaaaaaaaat? I never thought I'd see the day! ha!!!
I'm still running mine! Awesome boat for P Ltd!!
Never too old to learn something. On a good day I drive well. If I am a little dizzy (blood sugar off) I can get confused as to the correct direction to turn. Not fun. I never thought I would run one either but it is a good exercise for the mind. Ya I wanted to use a POS vise but could not find it.
What do you guys like for CG on this hull?
CG
Center mass of turn fin.

It's been almost 10 years since my last Whip build. Not sure where the CG wants to be.
Of late on all my sports I've been running CG at the leading edge of the fin and as close to the trailing edge of the sponson as I can get both.

I guess I will have to just test after it is in the water.
My cg is at trailing edge of turnfin at the top of turnfin...
One cool thing I learned was that if you move the fin forward, it becomes more effective, and vice versa. It's due to the fact that the centrifugal force creates a moment that 'rotates' the boat. Fin too much forward and it hooks. My leading edge of the fin (at the water line) is at the cg.
Making a little progress. Lot to do. Thanks for the info guys

I really wanted to be able to check the center of the nose for plum. so I added the the bottom board
Are you going to skin it in the stock 1/16" ply sheet or go to 1/32" ply?

I have a kit sitting her and was thinking what to do with it and I might build it if I ever get other stuff done.
How about the bottom, still using the 1/16" or 1/32"?
I figure the bottom is better to be 1/16" but I dunno??

Nice!

Good hull for 4s2p. Hull does not have enough depth for fatter 4s1p packs. CG slightly behind turnfin and shallow strut depth for p spec.
Octura m445 with tips trailing edge bent per proper chopper.
Did I miss what motor you plan to use?

Looks great Randy. I have a kit here I could build. Just got a few others ahead of it.
Repeat question. Whoops..

Anyone have info on turn fin profile or shape for P LTD?
I run zipp kits turnfin
The outrigger turnfin small
Randy.
I've had good success with this fin designed by Raydee, (a member here on Offshore) on small to medium hydros. The size can be scaled up or down Slightly.
