    building a twin aeromarine avenger 36". do i need counter-rotating flex shafts? will the boat do anything drastic if I don't?

    Yes you do. If you don't, the left cable will unwrap itself and break. And if you meant to have both props turning the same direction...no. You could get away with that with stock gas engines, but not in an FE boat.
