    Default Zelos 36 Twin stock 76.3 & 77mph speeds

First run after the prop swap. Everything else on the boat is 100% all stock. The Dynamite GPS logger clocked it at 77.05 mph (124 km/h) and the Garmin clocked it at 76.3 mph on the same run.

Are you running all 4 batteries up front, or are they strapped in one in front of the other in the stock trays? And you said your struts were at 3mm? I tore my boat apart over the winter and will be running those same props this year. I know all of my old setup notes won't matter much as they were for 2 batteries and 447 props.

Cool, thanks for that. I was running 4mm last year. Most of my other boats with similar ABC props tend to run the bow pretty high, so it makes sense that I'll need to start with a little less positive trim.

Default Updated speeds with stock setup 80.77mph (130kmh).

I had to give the Z a little loving today and I had a couple of pretty good test runs with my new props from Chris (Dasboata). On this run the motor mount bolt came loose and caused the flex to bind up and rub with the tight Teflon liner and caused the ESC to go into thermal shutdown, so I had to limp back to the shore with only full power to one motor. Everything appears ok except the flex. The top recorded speed on this run was 80.77mph (130kmh). Also a BIG THANKS to my "Propsmith" (Chris) again for another AWESOME set of blades!

Nice run. You bested me again. I skipped a wave and rode nose first to the bottom of the lake. Boat popped up covered in mud. I should have taken a picture of it because it looked like a pretty sweet graphic decal over the entire front third of the hull, except for the mud color.

Thanks Travis! You're the Pioneer with the Zelos for sure and I have to say that I believe I watched every minute of most all your test vids and those are what made me pull the plug on this boat. PB should let you help with developing these things or at least some more pre-production testing.

Well from what I understand their budget isn't there for many testers and because I was the latest one to join in I was the first one to be out when their budget changed. O maybe I was suggesting too many changes to make things better...I dunno. All I know is I'm not in the loop anymore and I know for a fact it hurts proboat ALOT more than it bothers me. I know I added to their sales tremendously, I know this for a fact. I had so many people pming me about this boat when I was running mine and asking me what should they get a Zelos, zones or a promarine. I convinced lots of people to buy the Zelos, some without even asking, just by watching my videos. I was wanting them to send me a Veles 29 for me to test but I don't think they are interested. Too bad for them, I seem to help their sales pretty good when they have a good product I can share. No worries on my end either way.

Travis, you still have a great attitude, no hard feelings towards PB and always speak or point a lot of good things about their products. . .I'm sure this will not go unnoticed. Many of us watch your vids and listen to what you have to share. So if it's any consolation to you, you have my big THANKS. . .

Default 3831 equipped stock Zelos hits 88.23mph (142kmh)

Here is the video of my Top speed run of 88.23mph (142kmh) with the NEW Dynamite 3831 Zelos twin motors. This was my first run with the new motors and I flipped on my second pass coming back into a slight wind at around 70mph. I have attached photos of the GPS logger software details at the end of the video and you can see that I hit my top speed of 88.23mph (142kmh) about ¾ the way on my first pass so this proves this boats capabilities with the new motors. Also, I believe from slowing down and stopping so quickly at the end of my first pass all the “water drag force” forced my left drive to move up significantly out of adjustment and helped cause the flip on the way back. My backup run after the flip (on struts out of adjustment on the same battery charge) was 85.12mph (137kmh). The highest temps I saw over my first test which was two or three passes each were 104° on the ESC & 106° on the motors (the ambient temp was around 68°). Last but least thanks to Chris Hoffmann (Dasboata) for the Awesome set of ABC props!

Default dasboata 1715 prop test (85mph)

Running some Awesome dasboata 1715's this time.....If I can work in a full pass I think they will be close to 90mph and rival my best run with the 1716's.

Thanks Chris! I'm using a different GoPro now so maybe that's the reason the lake looks bigger but it's the same size...Lol. The rpms are up a little with these props for sure. I wasn't sure they would run as flat as the other ones but this run shows they are capable of that. I will dig a little deeper next time and look for max mph with these.
