    Default Leopard 4074 1650 KV

Anybody know what max amps drawn are on the motor? If I run two 2s 7200mah batteries at 25c rating that gives them a max amp rating of 180amps each. Will that be enough or do I need to run a higher C rating.
the boat is a TFL princess. mono hull deep V 30" long.
Running 150amp Raider 645 prop temps seem fine 80*f motor and ESC.

Just for frame of reference I am running the following: Leopard 4082 - 1450kv motor on 6s (2 packs wired in parallel) I am running 3300mah 35C packs (can support 231amps in parellel configuration)

On my 32" mono with a M545 prop I average:

Max Amp Draw: 140 Take Off
    Average Amp Draw: 115 Running
    ESC Temp: Averages 100-120 degrees
    Motor Temp: Averages 80-100 degrees
    Batteries Temp: under 100 degrees
    Average Speed: 49mph

Here are the specs for my motor:

Notice it shows max amps of 110A.....that can be decieving, the motor will keep pushing past the advertised value as you add bigger prop and load until it enters meltdown. Best way to know is to log the parameters or talk to folks who have the exact motor / setup you have.

I don't really know anyone else with the motor. Only guys in the small group I see on Sunday are still running NiCad packs and 540 can motors. How are two 6s 3300 packs in size say to two 3s packs at 6600mah? I assume the two 6s packs in parallel are for the 6600mah rating since voltage is still 22.1v. Boat runs really nice. I have two SMC 3s 7200mah packs and they are pretty large, and they weigh 1 pound 2 ounces each on momma's weight watcher's scale.

The batteries should be ok if you do not push them too hard. Considering you have a 150 amp esc and the batteries in theory should deliver 180 amps, you should not have a problem. Remember a couple of things, you can have speed or runtime, and only use 80% during a run. If your current draw is 100 amps (average), you will have approx 3 1/2 minutes of runtime, dropping the amp draw to 80 amps will give you about another minute.
