    Dang, these steps be tricky!
    Took her out after overhauling. Took her out for a shake down on calm water. Aside from the motor coming loose, no pain. I think main problem hindering right turn banking was the octura water pick up.

    Got her back out yesterday. better, but still a bit wobbly at speed. and she turns flat? is that how stepped monos do?

    In the fist chief vid it looks to be running heavy in the nose, in the second chief vid it looks improved in a straight line but it did still hook a time or 2, so either CoG back a little further, or less lift from the prop, whether that comes from strut angle or a prop alteration.

    Stepped boats shouldn't run flat, they should lean into corners like any other mono, or a mororbike. I noticed you were slowing rather a lot for the turns and making wide turns, is this the size of the course and driving style or is it understeering at speed? I suspect it is riding up the turn fin, and running the turn fin with more angle would help if you want to turn faster or tighter. Our turns are on a 5 meter radius and while we generally don't take them at full speed to conserve runtime, we usually don't slow that much, and the boats can take them flat out if there is a good positional advantage to be gained from it.

    I set her up like I would have a nonstepped p mono... since, I have backed off on motor size and kv, thinking of trying 6s and a smaller prop.

    Higher angle turn fin more vertical rather than swept back?

    So I typically set my turn fins perpendicular to the hull floor so they flare out at the bottom, rather than parallel with the sides. So do you mean more vertical, and more parallel with the sides?
