separate battery for RX

I want to use a separate battery for my RX. i have a Dark Horse 27 with a Neu 1515 .5Y motor. A SW 220amp Pro Esc. Running 2 Revo 2s 5000mah 420 Blend GO batteries. It seems like I'm getting too much voltage drop for my RX. I want to hook up a separate battery for my RX. I know I've read something about cutting one of the wires from the ESC to the RX. The ESC has a built in BEC, so I need to eliminate it from the circuit. Do I cut the red wire going to the RX? If not, how do I do it?

Yep. Remove the red wire from the connector by prying up the little tab. That way,you could hook it back up if it doesn't cure your problem. Just fold it back and wrap with tape or a small piece of shrinkwrap.
