    In most cases to secure carbon fiber plate down to the inside of the hull if your using stand off's and lift the plate off the bottom of the hull.
    In automotive applications, to pretty up the inside of the engine bay or as fender washers.

    About 16mm outside, and I'm pretty sure 8mm inside. My micrometer battery took a s**t. Sorry I cant be 100% accurate. In inches its about 11/16 outside and 1/4 inside, again roughly.
