    Default Dumas DV-10 speed setup

    Hi Guys,

It has been a while since I have been on here, and I have forgotten a lot about setups. I am building a Dumas wood kit (18" mono) to relive the fun I had as a young kid. I know this is a heavy hull, but I want to make it a FE.

I am looking for drive/motor/battery recommendations.

My guess is a 28mm motor, but what KV and 2s, 3s or 4s?

My guess is a 1/8 shaft (due to prop options), but what size flex and drive recommendation?

    Thanks!

I have done some research today. How does this look:

    Motor: 2858-2900KV
    LiPo: 1800 3S 65~130C
    Unloaded RPM = 36,540

I still need to select a drive, preferably a stinger. Assuming 1/8" is the correct choice, my options are very limited. There only seems to be 1 available - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rudder-with-...0AAOSwSHZWb7Kd

I would prefer a separate rudder so that I can offset for a proper mono setup.

Any help in selecting a prop shaft size and drive would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
