    Default 2s or 4s power for 27'' catamaran ?

Hi all was given a drawing for a catamaran its 27'' in length a beam of 9'' and a tunnel width of 4.125'' there is no name for the boat or who designed . Drawing has all frames and side rails and drive line position and thats it looking at the plan view looks like the Geico cat .Would this hull be more suited for 2s or 4s power? Regards Andris Golts.

    Cool

I would go 4S with 3300-4000 mAh cells. Running 4S at the same speed as 2S will draw half the amps and double the run time. You can use standard off-the-shelf RTR motors and ESCs. For example, I run 2S in a 24" hydro, but to go 50 mph it pulls well over 100 amps. It is a bit small for the weight of 4S but your hull will be just fine.

    Default

Having a 27" cat yet to build on the shelf I was going to go 4s with it. Either small 4s packs (3000mah)on either side or bigger 2s wired in series. It is really up to you and what motor you have around. A car motor on 2s would be good say 4000kv. I have a castle 1415 2400kv here so was going to use that.
