OK thinking on giving FE another shot. So on
this setup how many MAH will I need to finish a race? If I go with 2. 5s I'll only have max like 5500 correct? Will 2 5s packs fit? I plan on going with MLinux boatworks kit not sure which one yet any suggestions? Thanks

5000mah minimum-6000mah will give you plenty. Which boat do you want to build? the 1/8 scale 172/9601 Extreme kit will build most all currently run unlimiteds. Cowl and wings from R/C Boat Company.

Not sure which boat yet, the biggest 5s batteries I can find 5500 MAH

Might want to check where you're racing, 8s is what we're limited to.
