    Most 1/8 scale hydros run 8S or 10S. Popular motors are the Neu 1527/1.5Y and similar motors. Speeds are kept "slow" or at least slower than a maximum-effort 10S hydro, this to limit damage and to keep the boats closer in speed. We have several in the club and they are so cool to watch.

    8s is normal with 800to 1200 kv motor speed 70 mph and up
