Bested my time by .1mph with Poseidon motors on a choppy choppy lake 86.6 lol, at about 90% throttle. Got some props from Shawn as well that were used. Will confirm what those were.

Edit: props are 1915's cut to 47mm

I ran the boat again today for the first time with the 1814's Chris prepped for me. I have to give Chris (Dasboata) a BIG shout out for these props, they are the best ones yet...I believe I will have a little more speed next run when I get my new batteries in and a couple minor tweaks. This was my first test with this set up and I am liking it so far. Keagan can you update my credentials? Attached is a video and pictures that proves these numbers by 2 GPS devices. Thanks!

MadRCER, how long is that lake in feet? I use google maps to do a quick measurement to get an estimate. You are running 76-77 in what seems to be the same distance I ran my 86.6 in. I did 90 in my Zonda but it gets real iffy then.

Keagan, The distance I ran in that video was around 850ft. The distance from the bank to the circle island in the middle of the lake is 1,000 ft. The overall straight line distance of the entire lake is 1600ft. If I start on the back and go straight out I run out of radio range somewhere around the circle island in the middle.

Ahhh, my lake has around 810 ft to run border line safely. I don't know how much more I can push the length of this lake and get away with it. Slowing down for a turn is already playing it close.

Keagan I checked all my data logs and verified that I did officially log 124 km/h which translates to 77.05 mph. Would you update my status? 77.05 sounds better than 76.3... I updated my video with the info from the GPS devices as well. Below is my updated information and two photos as well. Thanks!

Updated MADRCER! What equipment are you using to get your speeds displayed on google earth? I know datalogging, but what are you using?

    Keagan,
I upload the files to the Gps logger software from Dynamite and then save and export the file as a .kml file to my Pc. Then you open the file with Google earth and it displays speeds and the breadcrumb trail where it was ran at along with the speeds at each checkpoint (it only displays speeds in km/h though). In my opinion it is the best testing tool one could use especially on a Rc boat because you can gauge easily how much distance you need to top out in rather than just wearing your stuff out running distances too long. Any other help needed let me know and I can talk you through it. I really like it because you can see every 10ft or so speed reading if you have it set to 10HZ refresh rate. I use it a lot testing and marking the distance my 3DR Solo traveled also.

Got it to show up in google earth but how do I change from km/h and get rid of all the yellow push pins and have a line like yours? Also it said the Z did 87 that day. Just saying. Lol

Google Earth only displays the speeds in KMH. The push pins are the spots where it actually recorded the speed at and the continuous line is shown in the Dynamite software only. The Dynamite display is slow, try driving down the road in your car at 60mph with the dynamite, the display will show 58 or 59mph then plug it into your computer and the logging software will show 60mph. What was the fastest kmh reading it showed in Google earth?

Google earth moves like molasses for me. The pins are too close and I can't get all the speeds to display. It is very cluttered! I tried zooming is as much as I can but it just lags so bad. What is your step in the dynamite software? 10hz, 5hz, 2hz or 1hz?

You have to have a computer with some balls and fast internet or it will take days to let you zoom in to see the top kmh speed in Earth. You want to use 10HZ because it reduces lag time and speeds are recorded very quickly to the memory. PM me your earth file and I will read it for you.

Fweasel updated! These 1814,1815 and 1915 props are becoming more and more popular amongst Zelos owners. I think they are beast.

There's a new one (at least to me) . An air damn? I know what they'll do for cars. Is there something available commercially? Do you have to make it? Where do you put it?

I agree with MADRCER, the bounce can be eliminated by making sure the struts are as even as possible and battery placement to fine tune. I wouldn't go messing with airdams just yet.

Wasn't all that great of a run, couldn't hold it wide open for very long as I was getting a lot of bounce with the strut and COG setup. Will try an air damn and more positive strut angle next trip.

There's very little room for battery adjustment when running 4 batteries end to end in the battery tray and I'm not too hot on running all 4 side by side under the bow. So I hope strut adjustment is the answer
