Got the sponsons all tacked up. If you use Zippkits boom tube holders you have to put the front ones in before putting the doubled part in or you will be stuck. I did remember this however I made another mistake that I had to Debond the CA glue tacking and remove, clean, reposition the inner stringer. All is good now with tons of help from Mike who was just a message away.

    Great customer service for sure!

Quick question Mike, does the RSX240 feature the same turn fin or has it been scaled differently? Thanks.

Also, please send me a text and let me know what size lipo will fit in the smaller hull. Will 2p fit?

Did the same thing Ray! Unfortunately mine were epoxied on already! I ended up spinning the heads down on a lathe.

I was tempted to do the same. I was at Wendy's place and my lathe is 1.5hours away.

How did you set yourself up, full P or Limited power?

Hoping it will work for both with motor change.

My RSX310 is nearing completion! Put a coat of primer on it today. Motor mount is in, all hardware holes are drilled and stuffing box done. Just need to bend the 1/4" tube and finish painting. Cold day out in the garage, but the catalyzed primer seems to be setting up fine!

Here ya go Ray. No Mojo speed secrets on this one..... Tube was easy and gentile bend. Motor mount is a raffle prize I picked up along the way (and OSE sells them too). I put the mount in with Epoxy and pop rivets from underneath. I also added 1/8th plywood to the tub floor in the motor area. I did shim the mount to get more angle. I set the motor to clear a TP 4060 if need be, but probably will run the little NEU motor for P. I also re-did the 5/16th tube after the photo to get better flex alignment. Using Speedmaster small extended strut and mini rudder. Rudder and strut brackets are tight together. I am using a Castle modified airplane ESC that Mr. Buaas did for me. Battery options I am looking at are a single 4S 6000 or pair of 4S 3300s (tight fit)! Will probably run a single 4S 5000 for limited set up. Enough room in the tub for multiple battery configurations!

    Very nice, thanks!

You shimmed the front of motor mount or rear? Looks like the front.

What is the extra pad for the turn fin? Is that to put it in clean water?

    Thx.

Can someone advise me on the size of bolts used to secure the sponsons to the booms?

Someone said they used 2mm bolts and tapped the carbon rod. I don't have any 2mm bolts around and not enough 2-56 bolts.

    A #4 is 7/64" or 2.8mm
    A #2 is 2.1mm

So what size bolt is 3/32" ??

Thanks Bob. Your rudder mount overhangs a bit on starboard side I guess???
