Question new boat owner supervee 27 got questions??

So I traded a 250 race drone for the supervee 27 non r so ive put on water couple times and honestly its slow to me but it is using venom 3600 6cell nimh so 12cells in all, My question is can I use lipos on this esc and motor if I do two 2s packs ? So 4s combo and use a cell checker beeper while running and just check after minutes of running where im at voltage if I dont hear the beeper? Id like to get more speed out of this without motor/esc swap. Ive also shifted my batterys more toward from of boat so front of batterys are lined up with end of motor. Any help really appreciated. Yes I know its old and hope some folks still use this older supervee 27

    Hello and welcome to OSE.
Yes you can use and recommend lipos for this boat. It will really make this boat faster. There is a lot of info. here https://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...shless-Q-amp-A On this boat. You may want to look here http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...de-liposhld-32

so i havent got a lipo cutoff yet but I figured since I use lipos all time I can monitor the cells and I dont like going more then 3.4 per cell discharge but thats just me. Im into rc car speed runs here is my 123mph https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvltyFgotUw Ill try it out with two 2s lipos in series on this hopefully today
