Thread: Ever cut yourself badly on a rudder?

    I did the same rudder cut on the back of my hand, lucky I didn't cut any tendons. It was about 6" long stopped the bleeding with pressure rinsed with peroxide. dried it off , two pieces of hockey tape across the gash then covered the gash with ca , healed in a week, the ca came of in the shower. can't even see the scare now.

    Man, I stumbled upon this thread, some pictures!!
    I too got cut with a CF blade on my multirotor that required a trip to the ER. Lucky that it missed the tendons or I would have to start another profession!
    It is good to share these stories to remind ourselves that at times these hobbies can be dangerous.
    Too many boats, not enough time...

    It's getting better. I busted it back open this afternoon running boats. Got it wet and bandage came off. Be another couple days and it'll be closed up good

    kfxguy, beaux here what are your thoughts on an aquacraft 3656 2030kv on a K&B leg on a 27 in. f1 hull.

    Never ran one but I like those little outboards. Im sure it'll run pretty well.

    Me too.

    I'm always bleeding at a race. It's like a given for me. Usually I have to track down the source after noticing blood. "Alright, where am I leaking from?"

    I've been had by rudders, props, turn fins. Once got whacked by the retrieval motor on our row boat. Stitches. Minor though. Never anything as crazy as some of these posted above. Yikes.
