Default Q Sport 40: Turnigy Batteries & Neumotor

    Hello,
    I have the following Neumotor:
    2011-012510
    1527/1.5D/S/8mm

This motor will be used in a 40 Whiplash Sport boat that is relatively light for this size motor. I am looking at the Turnigy batteries and am wondering if it would be possible to use the less expensive battery or should I go with the higher rated batteries as outlined below at the HobbyKing web site?
    ROUGHLY $26.00 EACH

    ROUGHLY $42.00 EACH

    Thanks Brad

Are you planning to run these 2p? They will not be sufficient 1p. For the money use turnigy blues, but go for 5000mah, and they are still a bit on the light side. Better to spend the money on Dinogy, Giant power or revolectrix.
NZMPBA 2013, 2016 Open Electric Champion. NZMPBA 2016 P Offshore Champion.
2016 SUHA Q Sport Hydro Hi Points Champion.
BOPMPBC Open Mono, Open Electric Champion.

    Peter,
I plan on running a pair of batteries in the boat. So I assume if I go with the 5000mah you are suggesting the following Turnigy.

If I want to go with batteries you suggest where can they be located such as the dealer for Dinogy, Giant Power or Revoectrix.
As it turns out, I have 5Qt of the 5000mah listed in my link to Hobbyking. They are from a couple P-Spec boats I ran for the last couple of years. I prefer to have 8-batteries total when heading out to the races.
    Thanks for the advice.

    Thumbs up

Brad, if your running this is " Q " you will need 6s not the 4s packs in this thread
    http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Lipo_Pack.html the 5000mah packs
    http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Lipo_Pack.html the 4000mah packs
and run two packs of the same size in parallel

I am trying to stay with smaller batteries thinking it may make the front of the boat too heavy. As it turns out I have 4000mAh 6s 60C for my Q SGX. I will see if these batteries fit into the boat.
    Thanks
    Brad
