Default NEW! the "Bangarang 30" RC Surf Boat!!

    Hey everybody!

We are excited to let everyone here know that we at http://thatwouldbebadass.com/boats/ just launched our first RC boat product. Its called the "Bangarang 30" and it is the result of 3 years of development and rigorous testing.

"Bangarag 30" is designed to be driven hard and fast in the ocean, over and under waves huge or small. Every piece of hardware is high quality stainless steel or aluminum, every electronic component is chosen for its reliability. The design intent behind this boat is driven by 3 factors: ruggedness, reliability, low maintenance.

The boat is made entirely by hand here at our Oceanside California facility. We use only the highest quality, German-made, aerospace approved epoxy resin, and high quality fiberglass fabric weaves.

The shape of the hull itself is completely catered to operating in hazardous ocean environments - big waves, small waves, chop, flat water, whatever. The "Bangarang 30" is rapidly self righting, a critical feature for an ocean-going rc boat, and the planing surfaces have been designed to deliver the best performance while driving on large or small waves - it will actually surf, and it does that quite well. Jumping over large waves or punching through huge walls of white water is no problem. Launch it 20 or 30 feet in the air, or more, land upside-down - it doesn't care. It'll flip right back over and you can keep shredding. Take it for a ride in a nice barrel, bottom turn, hit the lip, air out the back, the options and maneuverability are limitless.

All of this culminates into a boat that can take the hardest abuse with the awesome performance with no excuses.

We think this is the most fun RC boat available, check out the videos below and you will see why. More videos coming soon, which will include plenty of juicy boat surfing action! (and abuse...)

Thanks for reading guys, check this thing out, we would love to see you guys out there with us and hear what you think about it. Or come by the shop and hang out if you're local!

    Gmorning all!

Thanks for checking out our videos.

I should have made a more clear statement I suppose lol - and Thanks for giving me the opportunity to clarify: THIS rc boat is an entirely new, custom design, meaning that no parts from any other rc boat hull have been used or adapted for use in or on it.

And of course, and I probably should have shared this in the first post, the idea of running rc boats in waves is obviously not new, and I certainly never meant to imply that we invented that idea. Rc surfing for example has been going on for decades now. In fact we are developing our own rc surfer. The performance of this small niche in rc boatING has come a long way in a few decades. There are a few manufacturers out there with fantastic designs that perform extremely well. In fact we are slowly developing our own rc surfer here at "that would be badass inc"... top secret stuff lol

Here is one of my favorite rc surfing videos:
    https://youtu.be/Q71iNJgAoMo

And here is a link to a very small but very informative rc surfing forum: http://www.rcsurfworld.com

So again - never meant to imply that the concept of an rc boat in chop or waves or ocean is new - just wanted to show off OUR new rc surf boat, the "Bangarang 30"!

Here's out newest video again, to compare to the other videos above:

Thanks, have fun and be safe
