If the forecast wind direction does not change between now and Sunday I'll most likely drop by. Wind speed doesn't look bad but the direction is not conducive to flying at SRQ.

I don't have anything to race but I might bring my tunnel down for a couple runs after the racing is done. I have a q boat but no batteries yet. My old ones died

    Rich

"P" Sport Hydro has NO Motor rules

Now if you mean "P" Spec. Sport Hydro then you want the UL1 Motor.

    Rich,

What Larry said. I think this class is really going to take off. There are now motors and speedo's available for little more money than a P-Ltd setup allowing the use of a larger 34" boat. Faster, more reliable, fewer blow overs.

With one caveat: Unless it is overtaken by Q-Sport Hydro, which is even more reliable (less amp draw) and more stable (bigger boat).

I plan on being there with P mono and a couple laps with a rigger. Hope the forecast is right.

In order to run boats at your club, do you have to have a boat that fits into a certain "class?" Is one of the Sunday's a "race" day and the other a "test & tune" day? How serious are the races? I guess I'm asking about the culture of the club; is it a group of like-minded guys getting together to have fun running boats or is it really serious racing club with guys trying to qualify for district/regional/national type events?

I have a 40" deep vee running 10s with a Leopard 4092 930kv Motor. What "class" would this be in (if any)?

    Thanks,
    Matt

With 10s that would be a "T mono" but your hull is actually more of a Q class in length. S/T boats can be up to 60"

    Hi Matt,

we are mostly a group of like minded guys who get together to run for fun. Not too serious on race day, and yes, one weekend is fun running, the second sunday is for racing. A 10s boat will have a difficult time "stretching it's legs" on our smallish 1/8th mile course

please come on over and check it out!

Thanks all for the replies. I won't be able to make it tomorrow but I'll try for the next one (and if I'm correct, that should be 2/14 (second Sunday of February)).

Just paid for NAMBA but it gave me a new number and wouldnt let me pick my old one. Not very user friendly especially if you are computer challenged.

Thanks After I paid I sent an email to them. Have to see what happens. It would be a real pain to change the numbers on my boats.
Walked outside to walk the dog. 38 degrees and windy. Not my kind of boating weather. I think I will stay home and change my P-spec hydro to a p-sport hydro. I have a TP 2000kv. How does that sound for power?

Motor KV is in the ballpark - 4S-2P and you should be good to go.

Thank YOU Bill for getting them :)

I thought the GPS was not on in my rigger but after cleaning off the nastiness after I got home it was on. It was reading 82.1 MPH. I don’t think it was that fast on the last back stretch but is what it was showing.

    Hello Ray
Pearl is done, ready for paint and hardware.
It is called "R" Brand, made by "Renfrew" for Canadian Tire stores.
