Its been nice whipping this hull into shape
only had 2 real issues that I didn't like, the hull would of been fine as is.
I found the seam between the top of hull and bottom of hull had some hollows and very thin where the 2 pcs meet.
I added 1 layer of FG to the hull seam on sides and rear of boat at seam.
Then I added 1 layer FG on the bottom inside boat on sides, center and rear area .
I also added a layer around inside the canopy .
It made a dramatic difference in overall stiffness in the flat areas
I am very pleased with the FG work
The paint is a lacquer
I am considering vinyl wrap from Darkside Studios on ebay but, they don't have a Voracity hull to digitize from yet. Id have to send them a hull to digitize a patternP1050081.jpgP1050082.jpgP1050084.jpg
Dang that thing looks sexy in white. Mine needs repaint one so I was gonna do it in a house of color blue that looks close to factory but seeing the shape of the hull in a different color, I might just change it to something else. Looks good!

Thank you
The white does show off the shape of the hull.
I post a video of the boat after wet sanding and buffing to show off all the hours I have in the prep work.
That looks really great!
Thanks
here is the wrap I like

Thanks GUys
I am waiting for it to cure before handing it too much.
The weather is getting warmer here so, probably about 2 to 3 weeks the clear will be good and hard.
then I can wet sand and buff before assembly.
all I need is a prop for it.
Dan
The minimal amount of decals looks good

Thanks, it was a challenge cutting out the gold from the decals but, was worth the effort.
on a different subject, I purchased a couple of balanced props off the web and thought I had a grasp on the size and pitch idea.
Now that the props are here I'm not sure I made the rite choices, what do you think of the Octura x548
and the x643 for the Voracity on stock set up?
Dan
I think the x548 may run similar to the stock prop but I haven't tried it on a stock boat. I don't think Octura makes a x643. Are you sure that's the correct number?
thanks
here is the x643 listed on ebay I bought.

I don't believe that is an Octura prop. I think they use the name Octura in the add to get in the search results. Besides that, it looks like it should be a nice prop. It's less aggressive than the stock prop so it may be slower. It's always tough to tell though before you try it!
just got back from maiden voyage for the season and after assembly from paint job.
Boat ran perfect, no issues.
after the lvc kicked in I brought it in and the motor and ESC were cool battery wires were hot, battery was warm .
Is there a way to ease the stress on the battery? will timing change help?
Dan
Looks really good. I just bought a Voracity (stock for now) and was considering doing the fiberglass/epoxy before I use it, to prevent cracks.
What size/type of fiberglass did you buy? What epoxy did you go with? Any big difference after adding the added weight?
I also noticed you didn't fg the bottom section of the transom, where the prop goes. Is it best to leave that area alone? Thanks!
I am still running this rig.
It recently got some new parts:
TP 4060 1750kv. on 5s 4000mah 60c x two running parallel
300 amp SF
652 OSE CNC prop
