    Default Motor / ESC Mount

    Hi all.

I have recently purchased a Neu 1527 1.5y motor that I plan on putting in a 1/8 scale hull (ML Boatworks Kit - will be the black and yellow conventional T-Plus hydro), I am looking at purchasing soon the ETTI 220A Opto Pro NAVY ESC to go with this motor. My question is does anyone know if there is a motor mount available to suit this particular motor which also incorporates a mount for the ESC to sit on top of / above the motor and if so where to purchase one from?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Wayne

If you have a little extra to spend and arent in a hurry to get it, you can have one custom made for you, which is always splendid for a something like scale hydros where space is at a premium.

I had mine made by Peter Zilcha, im not sure if hes still producing them like he was at one point in the past, but you can contact him here on the forums. HRC could also make you a custom mount like how you describe. I wanted something that would be easy to remove later, so I had him make 90 degree aluminum side supports with holes along the bottom, and with some T nuts in the floor of my hull, it just takes 4 screws to secure it.

Another option is to purchase one of the 5" rail style mounts that are stocked here on OSE (which I believe is also made and provided by HRC) and then fab up your own ESC plate to mount above it, shouldnt be very difficult.

That second picture just happens to be my installation, and is not an HRC mount. It is a WRP 4" mount (NLA) with my own scu mount.
