Nice. Only 6S is a bummer though.
I saw this last night. Wonder how big it is in person. For sale yet? Might have to get one.

looks nice, but the turbo function sounds kinda scary..
turbo plugs into channel 3 on your rx and
you can change the motor timing on the run.
Over 4 ounces lighter than a 180 esc. This is great for European boat racing.

Why do they always make their ESC's with only 1 of watercooling...
Makes me wonder how this would be any better than the 220 SF's, etc.
Why on earth would size/weight matter that much in EU racing?
Naviga classes are based upon battery weight, so when building a boat we make it as light as possible to give maximum speed and runtime

I don't see it for sale yet. I was gonna buy one. One can never have too many escs.

KBB list them as in stock
www.zerotechusa.com has them as well call them
Has anyone tested these yet? I wouldn't mind to see whats what inside... Anyone want to post some pics of the insides?
Do you guys know if it has Auto Timing ?
^^ I second this has anyone had their hands on one of these yet? My buddy is debating one. From what I understand the turbo timing function is just a set timing value that activates when the esc see's a "turbo acceleration" I dont believe it has auto timing but I could be wrong
Does anyone know if Seaking160 Pro has auto timing ?
On the car side of things its called boost.. It doesnt advance timing on motor but on speedo and it makes a huge difference
Not sure why they would even bother with such a feature when they could go with Auto Timing like everyone else.
Maybe for those who want the timing boosted to a set value that they choose?
I also dislike the one water cooling.......not for my set ups.

Well, you can always artic silver epoxy a few extra copper lines to the body -- for extra cooling... I wouldn't say it's an issue.
I agree but I only run outriggers so compactness is important ..I did a good mod to this esc in the Hobbywing session with great results.

I wish Seaking make a 240a or higher for us SAW guys running 2200kv motors on 6S.
I have no problem with the SSS 4074 2200kv with a 180a, but would prefer a larger 4082 can at the same kv. I have to go with Swordfish if I want to do that.
However, I haven't noticed any issues with a single cooling line. My HPR at 2200kv on 6S doing SAW runs will come in with ESC temps in the 125F range on the heatsinks, about 115 at the base.
I use my hand pump water sprayer and squirt some fresh water into the cooling lines and the temps drop almost to ambient within 5 seconds. The single line seems to be quite efficient.
We are lucky to have reliable budget esc's like the 180A's....have used them since the V1 with sucess even with motors with high kv's on 6S/7S. Gill

It's just a rebadged version, however it has certain advantages over the SeaKing branded 180...
- Better capacitor banks
- 1 year warranty through Hobbyking, easy replacement if you have a problem. Seaking you will need to submit quite a bit of info and their warranty is only 3 months.
- About $30 cheaper than Seaking.
So it's cheaper, has a longer warranty while being easier to submit for RMA and comes with better capacitors. I don't know why anyone would buy the SeaKing over the Turnigy.
I was gonna go ahead and order 2 for my zonda boat but they currently out of stock at hobbyking.
Yup, I agree. I couldn't do what I do without them. The Turnigy 180a V3 is the bargain of the century. $85, comes with 7 outboard capacitors (instead of 2 on the Seaking) and 1 year warranty (instead of 90 days with Hobbywing).
I was able to fully outfit my HPR with 2 motors (SSS 4074 2200kv) and 2 ESC (Turnigy 180a) for $370 shipped! A reliable 85 - 90 mph 45" boat with this configuration.
