I'm an engineer. I come from NJ. So I guess I'm from one of the most impoverished nations on the planet?

I design things. Many times built right here in the USA (and for years, in my own shop). I guess that's nothing?

People who use words like "all", "everything", "nothing", "always" and "never" are often approaching a problem emotionally rather than a logically. Rarely will emotional 'solutions' solve the real issue. Doubt it? Ask a marriage counselor.

This is why a certain politician not worth wasting one letter for his name (other than to note O is similarly shaped to 0) is using these sorts of words, and why his emotional appeal is to women, toward non-thinking masses, toward non-thinking conspiracists, and is based on undefined "change." Change what? Why, "everything" of course! An elitist appealling to the masses! Give me a break, don't waste your time voting for that loser!

Hey, didn't the Bolsheviks bring "change" to Russia? And isn't that certain politician's plans remarkably similar to the Bolshevik's plans? Go back and study the Bolshevik Revolution. Learn about "change".

This country needs more people like Andy and fewer people like George Soros.

NOTE: "Like" is different from "the same as." I think one of me is enough. So does my wife :D And I think you all would agree.

A nation who think "the same as" George would be a very, very bad place.

Neither of them have stated anything with conviction with one exception: B.O. has stated he is for income redistribution.

Another election cycle goes by and again, I vote for the lesser of two evils. There are some 300,000,000 people in this country, and these two clowns are the best there is? McCain and B.O. are the same except for the far socialist leanings and radical associations of B.O. I can just see it now: Jessie Jackson, Secretary of HUD. Louis Farrakan, Secretary of State. Patsy Schroder, Secretary of Defense. What about Supreme Court nominations? What kind of RADICAL judges will B.O. appoint?

You are not electing a man, you are electing an administration. With whom does B.O. associate? Reverend Wright? Bill Ayres? ACORN? Do you really think a bunch of Socialists and Radicals in charge of things can make your life better?

P.S. Thank you Andy, for pointing that out. It's refreshing to see that there is someone who is concerned about proper grammar. I will do my best to refrain from such careless errors in the future.

I may have used a blanked statement there, my error, but it wasn't a
hyperbole. As for O and is similarity to 0, I guess M in McCain is not for his delusional self title Maverick, but more so for Mascot of B.U.S.H(Bankrupt United States Happening)...lol, I even don't know why, because I doesn't really matter, who wins, win...I could careless, honestly Obama or McCain, people must learn to save themselves. Some time ago, I posted a link that described how Francis Scott Key came to write "The Star-Spangled Banner" that described how brave men an women would rather die than surrender their liberty to an oppressive government. If you want, I'll dig it up and post it again.

Here is a frightening news article from an author employed by the (very Left-leaning) Washington Post. Put on your seatbelts people, this is the first time I've heard B.O. state his true feelings and plans.

The following is a narrative taken from the Sunday Morning televised 'Meet The Press'.

From ' Meet the Press': Senator Obama was asked about his stance on the American Flag. Obama Explains his National Anthem Stance

Sun, 07 Sept. 2008 11:48:04 EST, General Bill Ginn USAF (Ret.) asked Obama to explain why he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.

The General also stated to the Senator that according to the United States Code,
Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171... During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. At the very least, 'Stand and Face It'

Senator Obama Live on Sunday states, 'As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides, Obama said 'There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression. And the anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing.' If that were our anthem, then I might salute it. 'We should consider to reinvent our National Anthem as well as to redesign our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It's my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we as a Nation of warring people, should conduct ourselves as the nations of Islam, whereas peace prevails. Perhaps a state or period of mutual concord between our governments. When I become President, I will seek a pact or agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation have placed upon the nations of Islam an unfair injustice. My wife disrespects the Flag for many personal reasons. Together, she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past, many years ago. She has her views and I have mine'. Of course now, I have found myself about to become the President of the United States and I have put aside my hatred. I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this Nation, and offer the people a new path of hope. My wife and I look forward to becoming our Country's First Family. Indeed, CHANGE is about to overwhelm the United States of America.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you heard it right. This could possibly be our next President. I, for one, am speechless.

Sounds just a wee bit presumptuous, no?

OK, here's the National Anthem link:

    http://gallery.offshoreelectrics.com...album=46&pos=0

Listen to this description of the historical importance of National Anthem (with the bombs bursting in air and all); listen to B.O. saying it is to parochial and bellicose; then tell me he should be in charge of this country.

I am just sick that this country is full of ignorant buffons that gobble up the propaganda that is being spoon-fed by the media.

That is why our fore fathers put that right in the constitution. To keep Gov at bay. I beleive that many feel the same way, and would die to protect that right. I don't think anyone is dumb enough to try and "disarm" america. That is a right that will not go silently in the night!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually we are a representative Republic. Which means we elect people whom we entrust with the business of government.

Probably more here than most want to take the time to read, but this is a pretty good article:

Not to be too catty here, but the college you attend, do they per chance teach spelling and grammar?

It is "allowed" not "aloud" . They sound alike, especially when you say them aloud. Which is allowed, except in the library.

Also, it is very amusing to be called out for posting a Wikipedia link by someone who posted a link to that bastion of intellectual honesty, YouTube.

And... the pattern of instituting "State Run Media" continues:

    http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2008/10...y4546323.shtml

Heaven forbid anyone ask them real questions... But by all means, suggest that Trig is actually Bristol's... or use government computers to go after Joe the Plumber... Make examples of them so NO one else will dare stand up... Anyone see the movie "The Net"??? Is that what's coming next?

Hell... all Biden had to do was say "NO", and give some details as to how their philosophies differed from the Socialist and Marxist philosophies being asked about...

Trouble is... they can't do it because they don't differ...

How many "red flags" do people need to get these connections??

Is this REALLY what we want this country to become??

I'm all for getting some attention on the Economy and finding real solutions, but how much are you willing to give up to do that??? And IS that what an Obama administration will actually focus on??? The Red Flags point to evidence to the contrary...

Nope, actually I wrote a much longer post with some things I thought better of immediately after hit post. So I went back and "redacted" my own post to keep it fairly nice.

And internet or not I fail to see why that relieves us of trying to use proper English and spelling. Especially when the topic of your post is to point out a perceived intellectual failing of another post.

I just cringe when I hear/read/see everything in B.O.’s past; his statements, his associations, his record. What amazes me is how blatant the media is in their support of this guy, and how the rabid consumers of this propaganda can not see how they are being manipulated.

Do you REALLY want Socialism? DO you really want the kind of anti-American, anti-white, anti-personal responsibility, anti-business, change this guy proposes?

Mind you, I don’t think much of McCain either, but at least he has some respect for this country, its history, and the principles that made this the greatest country on this planet (something with which admittedly B.O. disagrees: while attending flag-burning rallies with his radical buddies, and his America-hating racist wife).

All you liberals out there: Government is not the solution, it is the problem.

B.O. wants to give you a whole lot more government, which in my book means a lot more problems.

We live in a land of the ignorant, and they are going to elect the reincarnation of Karl Marx. Ignorant is not an insult or derogatory term, it just means that they don't know what they don't know. If you only get your news from television or newspapers, there's a lot that you don't know. There are a LOT of gullible folks out there that ONLY get TV and print news.

In case you haven't figured it out yet, I think B.O. may in fact be the Anti-Christ. A bunch of followers groveling at the feet of the man that carries the "Mark of the Beast". Get ready for the Rapture folks, it will be in December of 2012, near the end of B.O.'s first term (and after the November 2012 Presidential Election cycle).

My cynicism gives way to acceptance of defeat. Welcome to the United Socialist States Amerika, the newest third-world country on the planet, where our National Anthem is "I'd like to Teach the World to Sing" and our flag is a pretty rainbow with flowers, on a background of the star and crescent. We all work for the State and the State provides our every need.

We're screwed. Armageddon here we come.

Remember lads, take politics and religion out of the equation, it is remarkeable how we get on together, enjoying our sport.

P.S. I think both candidates are very weak and US citizens have a dillema in who they choose to run the only superpower
