Travis and I on the same page. LOL Sine of the hypotenuse.
Why do I always have to be the bad guy?
Maybe not "intoxicated" but couple beers
Pissed off the neighbors (well, "not anymore")
People everywhere right on the shore line
Swam out to get it
Pretty much every irresponsible thing we avoid so that we can keep playing toy boats. We've lost people swimming to get their boats that were stone sober.
I was trying to think of something else you could do wrong. Maybe loop back around and hit some geese or something. Mount a machine gun on the front? I don't know.

Im sensing some sarcasim
Well if your going to be that irresponsible, I'd advise not posting about it and let everyone know it. Like TS davis said, many people have lost their life swimming to get a boat. I just lost a $1500+ boat because I didn't swim and get it. It wasn't worth me chancing it. I've done it before tho in shallow water but that was the first and last time. My recommendation is to have a recovery method and if your recovery method isn't with you, don't run your boat unless your able to let it go like I did. It's hard...but at least you'll live another day to buy/build another. Don't be do irresponsible.

I found it more humorous than responsible I just figured it be fun to post about it apparently I was wrong I only swam about 50 feet to get it and a small very calm with a ton of people around Lake if it's rubbing people the wrong way I'm sorry but again I really only posted it to really make fun of myself
Don't take it personally.

This happens every year and we (well most of us) are trying to raise awareness.

kind of hard not to take it personally when some of the people on this post are going after me like I killed a puppy or something and I'll guarantee that half the people that are didn't even watch the video and I'll guarantee that half the people that are didn't even watch the video the fact of the matter is is that I usually have a fishing pole with me and I'm never in a body of water or retrieval isnt an option when I lose my boat or I'm on my big boat when I have it on the lake I've only swim for my boat 3 times and I'm always in an area where I know I can get it so again there's some severe over reaction to what was going on.I want to point out to that there was nobody in the water there was no ducks around no animals no one could've even remotely been hurt by what I was doing myself included so everybody just needs to calm down and take it for what it is which is a funny video of me wrecking my boat.

all fixed test run this weekend NO beers
We (the responsible FE boaters) don't want any other boaters to lose their lives swimming for a toy boat. Raising awareness IS personal, but the OP is invited to not take offense. We are trying to raise awareness, and we hope you understand that (your last post supports this).
I am reminded of the case a year or so ago when a teenager swam for his boat and ran into trouble. His father swam to help him. Both died. Would you really want to be responsible for the death of someone trying to save you? I bet not. Good swimmer or not, DO NOT swim for a toy boat. We have your back here.
Good luck on the re-launch!
