I am looking for a lighter weight option for lake side charging other than hauling a deep cycle marine battery around.
Has anyone ever used a few 3s lipos(12v) or 6s (24v) to power thier charger?

Watt hours are watt hours. You would only be able to charge the equivalent of the packs supplying the charge, minus some efficiency loss in the charger, not sure why you would do that, just run the extra set of packs.
I guess you could charge (3) 2s packs if you powered the charger with a 6s of the same mah rating, but that's a lot of hassle.

Thanks Kevin. Thats what I was afraid of. I have about a 10 Min walk from car to shore and I'm Looking to reduce the load that I have to carry.
read my mind Sir!! I have an old busted two wheel cart and I'm planning to build up some mobil charging/tool cart from that!! Or I saw a rolling tool chest at Northern tool the other day that may fit the bill as well! I have found a deal on some "aged" (new old stock) pair of deep cycle marine batteries to supply the 24v. Its a start!
And so the Mobil charging station build begins.....
That's going to be pretty awesome!
