    Default Scale Build

I know that it is not FE.

But I have finally finished the detailing on my 1/35th Landing Craft.

It is an Italeri LCVP kit that has been modified for RC. It is powered by twin 380 motors and a 50amp forward and reverse speed controller, wanted to keep it cheap and nasty.
The servo was just a really cheap micro servo from the hobby store.
I just threw an old DX2 reciever in it to ensure that it wont go bye - bye's on me across to the other side of the lake at full throttle
It can be powered by a 6v reciever pack or a 7.4 v lipo, no larger than 1500 mah.
I will be adding more pics of it into my photo album later

Please let me know what you think

I like it. Inside RC the tv show had one like this on it that carried a RC tank!!

Very good weathering techniques! Would you care to share your style?
It looks like you weathered it after the figures were in place, because the wear patterns on the deck (gunners) should be right under their feet. but it's pristine directly under them. All in all it's an excellent job. better than I could do!

Wow that is awesome. Any chance of an action vid? Would love to see it in action.

That was my first attempt at weathering, personally I thought it looked a bit crappy.

It was all done using a brush and paper towel, sort of made it up as I went.
Yes I did add the weathering details after the gunners were mounted, did'nt realise that it was that obvious.

    I can fix that though.

    Thanks for the comments.

I run it yesterday and it will actually get up on the the plane and skip across the water quite quickly, dont want to push it too much though
    Hate to sink it

I always thought landing craft should be faster...

Maybe a good 540 L on 3s w/ a surface drive will make it FE!

    Talking Landing ?

What do you have in there for a bilge pump.
I have been on one of those things and they leak like a rusty bucket that was hit with buckshot.
    Nice job with the paint.

    Thanks for the comments,

I was thinking maybe putting a 1515 1Y on 4s, that'll sure make it move
