Looking good Travis, I hope you decide to focus on breaking some records. Whether or not you make an event or not you'll still know your boat is one of fastest out there.

Thanks and your right but i think they help stabilize it. Think this way...I could go 93 (theoretically) with the turn fins not touching.....but I go 90 because they are....then if i lift them up, i can in rwality only get 75-80 because i lose stability and it flips...tradeoffs...lol

so I just have to make it up elsewhere......thats why i have a prop coming from you lol. I ordered a x450 from ose also just to see how it works too at lower voltage.

Thanks! Let me see how close I can get to 100 and I'll decide. I've got to go run this thing in some other waters too so I can see how it acts in not so ideal conditions so I'll be better prepared.

So I picked up anew servo. Flraptor suggested a kst, so I ordered one. First impression is very nice servo for the money. Very nice. Smooth and quiet and powerful. Then I had a member sell me a mr200 for a really good price, it came in today. So I put the kbb34 back together and now it al works. Whew. I rearranged some wires and move the receiver over. Should have done it this way from the start. Check it

I think you'll be real happy with the KST servo, the only thing you may need to do is slow down the steering speed on your radio. Not the Expo but the overall speed, on a couple of my boats they were just too fast and caused eratic handeling. But that's the only problem I've had and that's not really a problem..

    The KST DS2509MG is another one I use, it's 291oz.in. @6.0v and 347oz.in. @ 7.4v if you really want to power it you get 416oz.in. @ 8.4v $64.99 @ VRC Hobbies

Awesome job u got quite a screamer there. So seems the order your boat goes 6s/ 70's, 7s/80's, 8s/90's.....and the 3 digit 9s?

Pretty much! I've got some things to line out on it and it should go a touch faster. The rudder could be a little shorter, the prop sharper and the Esc that's going on it will handle more amps. Im expecting 95ish out of it. Getting to 100 is going to be quite an accomplishment. Not sure I can do it.

    Hello sir
In regards to the flood tube can you or someone please explain the principle of this addition to the build! This is the second time I have heard of this in a build and yet to understand what it is meant to do ?!
    Any explication would be great.

The flooded tube allows space for the brass tube to move up and down for strut adjustment.

A flood tube works like this:

You have a tube a bit larger than the brass drive tube. The end toward the motor is sealed. There is a bushing at this end that is epoxied in place. The drive tube passes through it. If water gets in this tube it will not get in the boat because the bushing is sealed to the big tube and the drive tube. Now on the strut end because the big tube has a large gap you can move the brass drive tube up and down within it allowing needed prop height and angle adjustment This is needed if you want the most out of a particular setup. A strut does look better but only allow prop angle adjustment.

    Couple pics

I don't like the 4070 motor. It seems quite underpowered for its size. I've tried a couple different ones in different boats I had and they were slow for the kv they were. My buddy bought one and I never said anything to him on what I thought. One day we were talking boats and out of the blue he says "man I think the 4070 just doesn't seem to have the power it should, what do you think?" Then at that point I know it wasn't just me. I prefer the 4060 and if it's not enough then I just spend the coin on a neu 1527....which the 4070 does t hold a candle to. Also I feel the same way about a neu 1530 as I feel about the tp 4070. The 1527 is the biggest 40mm can motor I get. If I need more power then I step it up to a larger can but I haven't had to just yet.
