    Default The "J-Revo" build!

I started this build in January and pestered the heck out of "thejc" for 5 months about Losi drivetrain conversion. I tried to get RCM diffs so I didn't have to do the conversion but that wasn't happening...

So I will start with the Losi diff list first:
15x21x4 (TWO PER AXLE, 8 TOTAL)
8x13x4 (THREE PER AXLE, 12 TOTAL)
    MBX-1215 Mugen 17mm Hexes
    Losi LOSB3516 17mm Hexes
    Losi XXL 2 Front Differential
    Losi XXL 2 Rear Differential
Losi XXL 2 Front & Rear Drive Shaft CVDs
Kershaw Designs E-Revo Center Dog Bone Kit for LST Diffs
SOME SHIMS WERE NEEDED AS WELL! Not sure what size since I had them done for me... haha

Some have said that they have had bad experience with Kershaw designs but that was not the case for me! He shipped my dogbone kit the next day and everything showed up perfectly! I read into a lot of threads on the forums and most of the "claims" were fixed by Dan at KD or the claim was BS. Dan Kershaw is not around to screw people out of money, he is around to help the RC community. If you are in Colorado he is opening a store so you can come in and buy parts off the shelf which is pretty cool.

Here are my other parts as well:
80wt shock fluid/oil in stock shocks
    Traxxas Summit arms
VG Racing black springs (not installed yet)
TRX: 5323R (Red tie bars instead of the TRX blue...)
    TRX: 5318X (Red aluminum pushrods)
TRX: 5338A (Black aluminum toe links)
TRX: 5632 (TRX Chassis brace)<<SHOULD BE AVAILABLE IN RED!!!!
TRX: 5498 (Sway bars, I have only installed the front)
TRX: 5133 (Red Pushrod Spacers, not sue if Needed them...)
Savox SW-1210SG Waterproof Coreless Servo, turns 3.8 Trenchers on carpet!
HR: RVO4806 (Natural aluminum wasn't in stock)
Unknown Aluminum front and rear skids (came with used roller)
PL: 3405-00 (Awesome Jeep Rubicon body, painted by previous owner)
Dragon Slayer Heatsink for stock motor.
    Stock MXL-6s (TRX Re-branded MM2)
Full TRX telemetry (not calibrated due to different Losi diff ratio)
HbbyKing: Dr. Mad Thrust Electronic On/Off Switch (for my leds in the Summit bumpers)
    SPC 2s 6500mah (Two)
    SPC 3s 6500mah (Two)

BIG SHOUT-OUT TO "Thejc" and "rc-fan" for helping with the Losi conversion!!!!!
    (They are on URC)

Right on. Nice job. I am also curious about the Losi conversion. So far mine has held ok with HRC diff cups and hardened gears. But I fear when they go I will have to switch it up.
    I dig the longer arms.

Thanks! I just ordered some new Summit arms since I had an accident.... lol I run 5s so it shouldn't be too stress full on the diffs. I had them ground down by my guy Carlos in Florida, he was the previous owner of the roller and had the losi diffs in before he parted it out.
I am going back to boats now.... lol
Toy trucks and computers in the Winter, Toy boats in the arm weather! haha, hate the cold.

I keep mine tame as well with only 6s and a 1800kv 1518. They are a load of fun though and a real good run for the dogs, LOL.
Boating? Oh yeah, I'm supposed to go do that yet.

It just is additional "bracing".... But short answer, yep hot glue. Better than having empty space.

Very impressive! I like everything you have done. Except I just can't grasp any of the parts meaning... for me sport running FE boats is much simpler. Just add water and you go...
But, if I have your kind of know-how, I will be doing the same. So----

Thanks Tim! The Revo platform takes a lot of "tweaking" to get it to a reliable stage. Some times boats are less complicated but then you have amps draws, stepped hulls, drag, unloaded rpms, prop pitch, prop cup and it goes on a little bit more but I have been apart of several Off Shore Runs with Higher Performance boats so the boats make sense to me (most of the time)lol.
Not much know is needed with the Revo platforms unless you try and race them, most of the problems are documented by others so I went around finding who knew more info... Wish I had not built it though-- Could of had a nice boat by now! I will have to keep this one around for a while since I spent a horrid amount on it. At least 10 years.... haha

I love being able to go over ANYTHING with the REVO though, Grass, Muck, loose gravel, Grass mostly like it is not even there.
I come from the old school brushed days where grass meant

It sure can go through stuff! Had a little awkward landing today.... Hit a bump and came down in a mud puddle with the rear only.

Looks good! I just got done doing the losi diff's on my e revo. I love hot glue! I never have used it before but worked great for the gaps and just fit better. What rear bumper do you have? I have a summit body on my revo.

    Default The "J-Revo" build!

Thanks! Summit bumpers on the front and rear. I would like to have some metal ones that mount to the plastic oval mount...I have to replace the front bumper since I had a little wreck yesterday, also broke one of the drive cups on impact along with the brand new a-arms I just finished installing:

Taking this as a sign to get back to boats.... Lol

All bearings will need to be replaced over the next 2 months along with new bumpers, body mounts, tires and bodies.
At this point I'm in right around $1,874.
    $2K here I come... Whoops...

Nice. Now seeing the kind of houses you live in (in the video) your build price on your boat just went up.

How often do you have to rebuild your shocks? -----the one thing keeps me from a die hard off roader.

I VERY RARELY rebuild the shocks on any of my RC trucks. I usually break one or bust it open on a crash before I rebuild them. The time varies from 1 day to a year.... Neglect! Haha

It's in the section 1 of my parents neighborhood where they are building houses on the Estate lots.
