So I ordered the ose.187 assembled cable for 3/16" props,
1/4" brass tubing, mono stinger, cf cloth, some lil things, and heading to pick up west systems 105/207 right now.... Boat should be here Monday!

What size turn fins did you use? Or recommend? Also your trims tabs? I think the speed master billet CNBC aluminum tabs are awesome. Looks like that's what you used as well correct? Thanks man

This excellent build thread must be way above 10,000 view count were it not for the non-updating-status of the view counter. ()

Too many boats, not enough time...

Hull should be here any time! Anybody run the neu 1527? Can't decide between that and the castle 1717... Any input thanks!

The 1521 was plenty for this hull. A 1527 would be complete overkill. In fact the 1521 barely knew it has run. It really only got warm after s full run.
If you want to overpower it, the1717 is s great budget friendly choice. The 1527 is just more money, and pretty much not needed at all

Ok good to know, I was gonna spend the more money thinking higher price=higher quality. Did you ever get close to 60 like you were hoping, with the 1521?

Hull showed up! Was frightened when I saw the box damaged, but it's all good! Made it to Cali unscathed. Cf should be here any day, along with some hardware... Ordering motor and motor mount tomorrow.... Let's get this mother going! Still waiting for the sf 240 to be in stock, might look into other options if it's too long of a wait. Pumped though!

You know, I never gps it, but I'm pretty sure on the 448 I was hitting 60. I actually propped down to a 445 for sport running
The nue motor is def worth the money, but when it comes to 1521 or 1527, the 1521 was more than enough to send it airborn. Plenty of power

Oh yeah there you go. I couldn't remember who else but yeah. This guy.
The 1717 would be the perfect affordable yet reliable overpower of this hull. I would opt for it over the 1527

For sure, deffinetly more power than it needs. I'm gonna set mine up for P Mono, have to take about 3/4" off the nose and I think I'm going to use a TP 4060 1870kv or 4070 1770kv I have both

The 1521 is a good choice for this boat if you're going to run on 4s then I'd go with the 1.5d and you might as well get the 8mm shaft. It'll be just about bullet proof that way.

    The 1.5 d would be a good choice and a 448 maybe 450 prop on 4s.
The 1800kv also leaves room to go up to 5s if you want and move to a 445 or 447 prop

When you did two layers of 3k, do you let first layer dry or can you do the second right after the first? I did read Bradley's tutorial but not sure about the process of two layers. Thanks again! 👍
