Default Pro 220 amp - 6s lipo ESC run on

just fitted this speedo from new. when you get off the throttle the speedo runs on or lags before backing off to neutral. would be close to a second before backing off.
i have tried re-calibrating, playing with settings in programming like soft start and cutoff options with no luck.
also tried different receiver, different radio and firmware.

i'm hoping this is not normal behavior. any help appreciated

I have 3 of these and they are set to soft start and hard cutoff. There is no lag when you get off the throttle.

    How are you programming it?

I used an Orange recover so I'll try it with the SR3300T in my truggy. I bought 2 of the esc so I'll fit plugs to the 2nd one and see how it behaves to

I tried the Orange receivers in my cars and just didn't like therm. They just felt glitchy.

For me it's like driving with a sticky throttle

The best way to describe it is throttle lag.

ok home from work now. hooked every thing up to the SR3300T receiver. all though results were similar there was an improvement.
i emailed HiFei about the issue as well. they said to set the end points on the Spectrum radio to back 75% and forward to
125% this has not eliminated the lag imho but has it reduced dramatically to some thing that i could live with hopefully.
time will tell when i get in on the water again.
now off to fix all the crash damage on the boat

Did you recalibrate the throttle endpoints when you changed radios?

O.k. sorry your boat was damaged from the lag but, I find once you know it's there it's easy enough to work with. I think they designed this so the ESC is less stressed from sudden off throttle then back on throttle like in racing ovals.

yes i did re-calibrate. just hope there is an improvement and not my wish full thinking lol
it still takes awhile for the prop to stop spinning but you can hear it back off full power in a fraction of the time compared to before.

ray i'm not sure how you can react to a bad situation 1 sec before it happens

Sounds to me like your receiver and/or radio is going in and out of failsafe because your connection is very clitchy.

    Hope this helps.
